Eye Tests

Westfield Opticians provide a full eye test service including pre-testing as required. We examine:

  • Visual fields
  • Pressures (glaucoma) intra ocular pressure
  • Auto refractor, giving an approximate prescription as a starting point
  • the problems and needs of the patient
  • Refraction – this is the test to establish the required prescription
  • How well the eyes are working together and look inside the eyes to assess the health of the eye
  • Check for squints

    If a new prescription is required we have a full range of spectacles and contact lenses

    Westfield Opticians also have a relationship with Ultralase and can advise patients if they wish to have laser eye correction and can provide the aftercare for that procedure within the practice.

With a background of dispensing optics we have good knowledge of specialised lenses to suit individual needs.

We have invested in high quality equipment, and as well as regular frames we also carry designer ranges.

We have a return rate of 80% with our customers, in an industry where 40% is considered good.

We have a workshop on site so we can control the quality of work.

We allow half hour appointments for both NHS and private eye examinations to provide a one to one service.
